Parks on the Air is a program for amateur operators who go to state or national parks to get on the air. "Activators" go to parks with a mobile or portable radio setup and spot themselves on the website with their park designator and frequency so "hunters" know what frequencies to scan. I enjoy activating POTA occasionally because it is a great blend of the hobby of amateur radio with the great outdoors.
